Sukma in old traditional Javanese language means ‘soul’, While Rikma means hair. Hair represents a woman crowning glory, femininity, freedom and beauty. Sukma Rikma photo literacy best describes the soul of the women crown.
The philosophy behind the photoshoot is inspired by moss characteristic; green pigment, soft and tender. As for the idea is to get this couple immersed with the mossy forest whilst doing quirk poses, nor being romantic on each other, instead emerged one with the mother nature.
The idea behind the shoot is that we are trying to create the symbiotic fuse of the mortal part (human body) and the black sands. It reminds us how nothing is mortal in this world, even beach can get washed away through erosion, naturally.
Every once in a while, a human being need to be apart from the society, at least once you should take your leisure time, when we are bored we look for neural stimulation, just let your mind wanders and daydreams. Idleness was seen both as a commodity and as a symbolic capital that defined a noble lifestyle.
These editorial series were inspired by the majestic beauty of Bali most rarefied flower (Bunga Kasna). It blooms a year and will be harvested for Galungan, they use this flower for Canang. Isolated in the heart of Karangasem area which where the mount Agung Is located. We were lucky enough to capture this beautiful landscape before the mount erupted.
